Alessio Lo Giudice is Senior Research Assistant Professor in Philosophy of Law at the University of Catania; Appointee Professor of Philosophy of Law and Legal Sociology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Messina. He spent almost three years of research periods abroad, at the University of Tilburg in The Netherlands (where he also taught Philosophy of Law) and at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. His postgraduate education includes a PhD in Philosophy of Law conferred by the University of Tilburg and a PhD in Sociology of Law conferred by the University of Milan. His scientific research is mostly devoted to legal- philosophical study on the dynamics of social regulation within the post-national, and above all European, context. His scientific achievements are attested three monographs (one forthcoming) and one edited book, by more than twenty articles and essays and by several presentations given in national and international meetings.
